Second generation born in America
Sometimes I think about what life was like for him as a child, living in an Italian neighborhood in Chicago, at the time of the largest mass lynching in U.S. history
I live in Arizona, and there are many people here who were born in a foreign county, mostly Mexico. And I'm sure that they dream of a day when the hatred and bigotry towards them and their children, and their children's children, will be long gone, and long gone from memory, too.
